Karen Kaplan, President and CEO, Hill Holiday
As President and CEO of the 14th largest advertising agency in the United States, Karen has been a driving force in helping grow Hill Holliday to over $1 billion in annual billings since being hired as a receptionist in 1982. Business Insider and Advertising Age have recognized her as one of the most influential women in advertising. She serves on the boards of directors for numerous civic and professional organizations, is Chairman of the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce, and is a member of the Clinton Global Initiative, an action-oriented community of the most effective CEOs, heads of state, Nobel Prize winners, and non-governmental leaders in the world.
James W. Bacharach, Vice President, Brand, Marketing & Creative Services, John Hancock
Jim is responsible for ensuring the John Hancock brand is effectively communicated and integrated across the company’s extensive consumer and trade marketing activities. Jim began his career in brand management at General Foods and then Chesebrough-Pond’s. He subsequently held senior management positions at a number of marketing services firms where his clients ranged from AT&T and Starwood Hotels to Ameritrade and Converse.
Elaine Tocci, VP Media Services, AMP Agency
As Vice President of the Digital Media Services team, Elaine is responsible for overseeing media strategies and managing planning and buying across numerous consumer and business-to-business clients, including Boden, Pretzel Crisps, Mikimoto, The Food Bank of New York City and Arbor Networks. Prior to working at AMP, Tocci was the advertising director at Monster.com, where she took an active role in developing multi-channel media campaigns and convincing recruiters that the Internet should be part of their strategy for finding qualified candidates quickly. Tocci was also successful in growing Monster's brand awareness with job seekers and HR professionals, bringing thousands of people to what ultimately became the largest career source on the Internet.
