On January 29th, come watch four agency teams compete to determine who has figured out what 2013 will look like....

Join BIMA for the annual state of the industry event: a program that has evolved to focus on insightful discussions and examinations of what is coming as we move forward in a digital world.

This year, we will be inviting teams from agencies to discuss and debate the major trends that will impact media in 2013. Each team will debate an issue facing us all in 2013, against another team. The winners (selected by YOUR votes) will face-off at the end of the night, in a short quiz show format, to determine who will wear the championship belt. The participating teams are:

Allen & Gerritsen:

  • Kara Ackerman - Senior Digital Media Planner
  • Kim Cremer - Digital Media Director
  • Meghan O’Connor - Digital Media Supervisor
  • Casey Ruggiero - Senior Digital Media Planner

AMP Agency:

  • Matt Jacobs - Director, Connections Planning
  • Graham Nelson - VP, Connections Planning
  • Pam Neville - VP, Account Management
  • Josh Pike - SVP, Search & Measurement

Digitas:

  • Jason Fazio - Manager – Search
  • Chuck Gannon - VP/Director - Media
  • Jeremy Tate - VP/Director - Media
  • Tommy Wiles - Associate Director - Strategy and Analysis

Havas Media:

  • Leon Barsoumian - VP Group Director, Analytics & Insight
  • Ann Kane - VP Search Marketing Director
  • Armin Molavi - SVP Strategy
  • Tom Penque - SVP Managing Director Boston

Mike Proulx, SVP Director of Digital Strategy at Hill Holliday will lead the teams through the following debate topics:

  • Will privacy concerns, and potentially less tracking capabilities, kill the online budget?
  • Will the continued development of programmatic buying mean the end for the media planner?
  • Will 2013 finally be the year of integrated cross-channel attribution and bring the end of channel planning?
  • With mass adoption of tablets and smart phones, will print editions exist in 5 years?
  • Will mobile advertising dollars shift to be equal to digital budgets in 2013?
  • Will the digital planners of the future need to be specialists or generalists?

We battle for awards, talent, and softball supremacy. Let’s all come together, have some competition and fun, and learn more about the issues facing all of us in 2013.
